An interactive store prototype installation. Thought for a young audience, inside of the store there would be a "mini-studio" where customers, after buying their clothes, could do a short video in slow motion jumping with the brand clothes dressed.
All people detection system, shoot video and send to shop window would be done automatically. The primary tools used to develop the prototype were: AppleScript, Processing and Kinect.

Think on Ocean Waves.
Instead of aiming towards realism, this work explores aesthetic derivations of a simple state of-the-art model for ocean waves simulation.
Each wave is closed in a circular line, so the waves don’t develop horizontally.
By varying parameters such as wave length, phase speed, wind strength, number of waves and number of particles for each wave, several families of artifacts were produced. Each family results from the same variation rules of a set of constrained parameters, which results in aesthetically similar artifacts and produces animations of mutating shapes.

Knowing that some authors have a distinguished punctuation style (eg.: José Saramago), as well as different literary periods have specific punctuation preferences and patterns, we decided to explore visually the mapping of punctuation from portuguese authors.
Different colored rectangles correspond to different punctuation marks:
BLACK , (comma)
RED . (period)
LIGHT BLUE ! (exclamation mark)
PINK ? (question mark)
LIGHT GREEN : (colon)
BROWN ; (semicolon)
DARK BLUE ( ) (brackets)
DARK GREEN " " (quotation mark)
YELLOW ... (ellipsis)
Barack Obama has a long history of excellent rethoric. In this work, exploring two different approaches, we highlight graphically the moments of the speech where persuasive writing strategies are used (Personal Pronoun, Appeal to Authority, Word Repetition, Visual Words).
Each letter was created by joining only some of the points that define the shape of the letter computationally. Text: “I have nothing to say, and I am saying it…”John Cage. Original Font : League Gothic, from The league of moveable type.
School Work prototype. A simple multi-touch music application in which each circle corresponds to a musical note. One click activates the note corresponding to that circle. Two clicks decrease by half the duration of all notes of the same row (graphically, the circle size is reduced by half).
Each row of notes is played sequentially (the green notes)

“Agenda ao Cubo” allows the user to identify the cultural activities that will occur during the several months of the year in a particular city. They are divided into categories (movies, theater, dance, etc…).
The user can select cultural activities by day or by category. For each day, you have the opportunity to read a brief description of each event, the place of its performance, price and schedules.
